Reflection for feeding program for NSTP
Feeding Program ECE
We are the host of Feeding Program for children last Saturday, January 16, 2010 in our Civil Welfare Training Service (NSTP) to Barangay Sta. Arcadia, Cabanatuan City. We are there to promote love, peace and to improve harmonious relationship.
We arranged appropriately the settings and the program. After inviting the kids for party, more than 40 kids attended and then we start the program. Different games are done; all of this are unforgettable because the happiness bringed by the kids are so true.
That day was very bright sunny day, but thanks to the principal and other Barangay officials of Barangay Sta. Arcadia that they let them to use their school as our place for the party.
You can see in their eyes that they are happy with the program. For me, we are the best among other courses who were our classmates.
With the help of our loving and understanding adviser Mr. Mario Esteban, we make the party successful.
After getting the kids back to their houses, we ride back to Wesleyan University-Philippines .
Reflection for Tree Planting
TREE PLANTING
January 23, 2010, we have a program called “ TREE PLANTING” for our NSTP-CWTS happened at Sta. Arcadia .
We planted mahogany trees . At first, we take off the grass and made a hole for the trees to be planted. Although we have a very tough day of planting trees because were all under the sun facing the heat. I thought that we’ve just help the Mother Earth , even in the simpliest way. In every single tree we have planted one life was saved. If were all continued planting trees, we could save the Earth from GLOBAL WARMING.
Reflection for First Community Service
FIRST COMMUNITY SERVICE
The first community service was held last Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Sta. Arcadia, Cabanatuan City, Philippines. We were there to conduct our community survey as our requirement in civil welfare training service and in the same time to improve our social skills and we were teaching them how to be a responsible people in our society. First it was so difficult because we were not familiar in that place, we don’t know the attitude they posses but its not, the people in that place were hospitable and kind.
I and my partner in community survey went to the house that was simple. We asked them some questions and I knew that most of them were uneducated and poor.
After the survey we were all tired so we rest in a waiting shed and wait for the coming of jeep.
Our kind and intelligent professor Mr. Mario Esteban helped us to be more patience in the things what we do. He teaches us to promote love and peace in the community.
